The Kogi State government has made a payment of N1,627, 000.00, being the total cost of the hospital bill of the widow of Edward Soje and the triplets he left behind. Soje, who was a director in the state Teaching Service Commission committed suicide in Lokoja recently.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Kogi State Head of Service, Mrs Deborah Ogunmola. “As the Kogi State Head of Service, I wrote a memo to the Governor Yahaya Belo on November 6, to kindly consider and approve the release of the sum of N1.6 million in favour of Mrs. Grace Adebusola Soje, as assistance to offset the accumulated hospital bills of the family of the late Soje on compassionate ground.
“Governor Yahaya Bello granted the release of the requested amount and I am glad to announce to you that all the accumulated hospital bills of Mrs. Grace Adebusola Soje, and her kids have been cleared”, she said
