MAMA TARABA MEETS BUHARI, KEEPS MUM ON ATIKU

MAMA TARABA MEETS BUHARI, KEEPS MUM ON ATIKU A loyalist of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, who is also the Minister of Women Affairs, Aisha Alhassan, today declined comment on Atiku's defection from the All Progressives Congress. The minister met with Buhari after she, alongside other cabinet members, had attended the launch of the Policy Framework and National Action Plan for Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism. When approached by State House correspondents for an interview on Atiku's exit from the APC, the minister declined. Alhassan had in September, this year, said that she would support Atiku for the 2019 presidential election. In an interview with BBC Hausa at that time, she had said that even if President Muhammadu Buhari decides to contest in 2019, she would still support Mr. Abubakar. “Atiku is my godfather even before I joined politics,” the minister had then stated.

Maina Exposes Buhari’s Aides •Says those around president insincere, part of pension fraud syndicate • Name them now – Fayose Embattled former chairman of the Presidential Task Force on Pension Reforms, Abdulrasheed Maina has spoken on the allegations of corruption levelled against him. Maina in an exclusive interview with a private television station aired yesterday, claimed that certain persons in the corridor of the Presidency who are close to President Muhammadu Buhari were part of the pension fraud syndicate. Former president Goodluck Jonathan had fired Maina over alleged involvement in pension scam running into over N2 billion and was declared wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in 2015. His “mysterious” reinstatement had sparked criticisms and controversy, following which President Buhari ordered his immediate dismissal from the federal civil service. But Maina insisted that he was innocent of the allegations p...

Maina To Buhari: I Will Give You Documents That Will Fetch N3tn. The former chairman of the Presidential Task Force on Pension Reforms, Abdulrasheed Maina, has spoken out on the allegations of corruption levelled against him. He also called on President Muhammadu Buhari to allow him prove his innocence in the cases he is currently enmeshed in. Maina made the call in an exclusive interview with Channels Television broadcast on Monday during its News At 10 programme. He said, “Thank God our President stands for the truth, the unfortunate thing is that some people around him whom he has given trust are lying to him; this one I can attest to and I can give you instances, I can give you documentary evidence,” Maina said. “I’m appealing to you Mr President, there are so many things people are not telling you; when I get to that public hearing I will tell you some things that nobody ever told you Mr President because I never had the opportunity to sit down with you...

If Atiku Gives Them Money, They Will Jump Like Frogs, Give Him Presidential Ticket - Reuben Abati

If Atiku Gives Them Money, They Will Jump Like Frogs, Give Him Presidential Ticket - Reuben Abati “I hear say Atiku don port oh, from APC to God knows where…” “He used to be a Customs officer. Going from one port to another should not be an issue or a problem for him. It is in the nature of Customs officials to go from one port to another. When they train Customs officials, they train them to just disappear to nowhere when the storm is tough and rough. That is the reason why every Customs official is a prostitute… serving or retired. I know some of them. They are always disappearing and appearing. After oil and gas, customs is the other honey pot of Nigeria. My brother, if you taste a little of that honey pot, your tongue will come out. You will always want to taste more.” “But Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is not a neophyte to the game. He has been Vice President to Ebora Obasanjo for eight years. And since 2007, he has been eyeing that office o...

EXCLUSIVE: Intels formally begs Nigerian Ports Authority, pledges compliance with TSA

EXCLUSIVE: Intels formally begs Nigerian Ports Authority, pledges compliance with TSA by Hassan Adebayo About three weeks before the Nigerian Government ordered expatriates working for Intels Nigeria Limited to leave the country, the embattled logistics company had written the Nigerian Ports Authority, NPA apologising and stating its readiness to comply with the government’s Treasury Single Account policy. The move was apparently aimed at resolving the business dispute that climaxed in the termination of the company’s lucrative pilotage contract by the government. However, its decision to seek was not enough to remove Intels from the complex web of problems it faces with the Nigerian authorities, including the NPA, the Nigerian Immigration Service, NIS, and the Oil and Gas Free Zone Authority, OGFZA. The NIS, had, mid-November, revoked the resident permits of Intels’ expatriates and asked them to leave Nigeria by November 30 or risk forced ejection. According to ...

2019: Only Coalition Can Defeat Buhari, Not PDP ― Okupe

2019: Only Coalition Can Defeat Buhari, Not PDP ― Okupe A National leader of the Accord party, Dr Doyin Okupe, has said only a coalition of political forces can defeat President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019 and not the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) or any single political party. Okupe, who stated this while addressing members of the Accord party in Ekiti State during the party’s state congress, said “with or without Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, PDP alone cannot defeat President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019.” The former presidential spokesman noted, however, that the defection of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) was a big blow to the party and a sign that the party might eventually crash in 2019. Okupe said the APC “might pretend that Atiku’s defection is nothing but it’s definitely a big blow to the party,” saying with the current condition of PDP and APC, Accord presented Nigerians an option as ...

APC: Party that doesn’t consider youths is dying already – Atiku Posted By: Tony Akowe After months of speculation about his political future, Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar has resigned from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), saying they party has failed and continue to fail the Nigerian people in its avowed promise to bring change to the Nigerian people. Sources close to him however said the former Vice President was yet to join any political party despite pressure on him to join the PDP. Atiku said he was leaving the APC. He joined the party after the PDP became factionalised, leaving many of them in limbo, pointing out that since joining the APC, nothing has been done to reverse the treatment meted out to those of us invited to join the All Progressives Congress on the strength of a promise that has proven to be false, but rather, those that prompted his leaving the PDP have actually worsened within the APC. In a letter addressed to no one in particu...

Sadiq Daba requires N20m to save his life!!!!

Sadiq Daba requires N20m to save his life!!!! If 20,000 people come out and transfer just N1,000 each into that account as we speak, we would have raised 20million in less than a day. There was hardly a teenager in the 70s and 80s (who are now bigger boys and girls) who didn't know Bitrus on TV. This guy should not die I beg...! Now, let's do this....If you ever watched COCKCROW AT DAWN those years, let's start representing here by donating 1k into that account. God willing, by tomorrow morning we would have made a magnanimous impact... I've just done mine!  ABUBAKAR SADIQ DABA 1005382276 UBA N1000 only

These are the very characteristics that made me an ardent Buharist.

Prof  James Katende  WROTE: Chief Ayo Ojeniyi these are the very characteristics that made me an ardent Buharist. Naija is very complex and sophisticated which makes leadership a herculean task. Self serving leaders would just allow the country to sink deeper into the abyss as long as they and their own are taken care of. Seeing on CNN our people being auctioned into modern slavery in Libya (and God knows where else) because they are fleeing their motherland which has failed them, is heartrending. What we need are more Buharis in leadership. God preserve him to attract others who can emulate him. There is still hope for the slumbering Giant of Africa.

Jonathan: I got more support from south-east than south-south while in office

Goodluck Jonathan has said he got more support from the south-east than his region, south-south, when he served as Nigeria’s President from 2010 to 2015. Jonathan said this on Thursday in Onitsha at the grand finale campaign of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Anambra, Oseloka Obaze. He commended the people of south-east geopolitical zone, saying “I got more support from the South-East than I got from the South-South where I come from”. The former president appealed to Nigerians to collectively defend and stand firm for democracy. “We must collectively defend democracy in the country because no matter what you are, until you are able to elect your leader peacefully, the international community will not take you as developed society,” he said. “Where elections are manipulated, there is no election. We use this opportunity to mobilise all Nigerians, especially the people of the state to stand firm for democracy and to do everything to protect demo...

The tragedy of greener pasture.

Recently, 26 Nigerian female migrants died while crossing the Mediterranean Sea to Italy. They drowned. They were buried yesterday. 26 coffins were laid out in Salerno's Monumental Cemetery on Friday morning, watched by a military guard, local politicians, rescue workers and journalists. Only two were marked with names: Marian Shaka and Osato Osaro. All of the girls are believed to have been Nigerian nationals between 14 and 30 years old. Only 5 have been identified so far.  Two of them were pregnant, including Osaro with twins. Her coffin bore a pink and a blue rose in their memory. About a 100 more traveling with these women are believed to still be missing. When these women were being buried yesterday, a Catholic archbishop and a Muslim imam both said prayers. The Mayor of Salerno declared Friday a day of mourning. Local schools have been asked to hold a minute of silence, while light displays in the city center will be switched off on Friday evening in remembrance. B...

Learn to ignore and overlook many things if you truly want happiness in life

Learn to ignore and overlook many things if you truly want happiness in life  because the easiest way to a miserable life is to think that everybody is talking about you. Never allow anyone to steal your joy from you. What people say behind your back is none of your business as long as you are true to yourself. Never worry yourself about that. Sometimes minding your own business does not keep people out of your business. No matter your situation in life people will always talk. You can never stop people from talking about you, what you can do is to stop giving them what to talk about. There is a time limit for every rumour in life. Never allow freelance broadcasters to put your life on hold. Do what makes you happy. Anyone who cannot feel your pain, has no right to judge you in life. Seventy percent of those who talk bad about you behind your back, wish to be like you. When people can't be like you they try to bring you down and condemn what you have. Those without mo...

One of them said,”We won’t vote for anybody if they don’t give us money. Why should I vote? I have been unemployed for eight years now as a graduate.
