32-year-old Lagos banker allegedly tortures, kills 28-year-old wife with insecticide Source: Daily Post Nigeria The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a 32-year-old bank worker, Olaoluwa Adejo, following the death of his 28-year-old wife, Maureen. The incident happened at their home on Peluola Street, Oworonshoki, in the Bariga area of the state. Adejo, a Lagos indigene was alleged to have tortured his wife of five years with a belt, as well as cutting her with a machete. MAMA TARABA MEETS BUHARI, KEEPS MUM ON ATIKU A loyalist of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, who is also the Minister of Women Affairs, Aisha Alhassan, today declined comment on Atiku's defection from the All Progressives Congress. The minister met with Buhari after she, alongside other cabinet members, had attended the launch of the Policy Framework and National Action Plan for Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism. When approached by State House correspondents for an interview on Atiku's exit from the APC, the minister declined. Alhassan had in September, this year, said that she would support Atiku for the 2019 presidential election.
