Former Chelsea, Juventus and Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain’s mum, Nancy Zacarias’ has died after losing a long battle with cancer. It's been gathered that She died aged 64.  In a statement on Wednesday, April 28, Inter Miami revealed it was saddened to hear of Nancy Zacarias’ death on Monday as it offered its condolences. The club wrote: “The Inter Miami CF family is saddened to hear of the passing of Gonzalo and Federico Higuain’s beloved mother Nancy Zacarias. “Our deepest condolences go out to our players and their entire family during this difficult time. “We give the Higuains our full support as they cope with their loss.” Just so you know, Nancy was diagnosed with cancer in 2016 and underwent an operation the same year. The mum-of-four, whose husband Jorge was also a professional footballer, posted a selfie four weeks ago on social media, showing her with obvious hair loss as she prepared lunch at home.

Kidnapper arrested nabbed by police during attempt to collect ransom  A suspected kidnapper identified as 32-year-old David Isaac Mojo has been arrested while attempting to collect a ransom paid for one Peter Okologo.  The suspect accused of being a member of a kidnap syndicate, allegedly kidnapped the 26-year old victim in the presence of his girlfriend in Warri and demanded a ransom of N1 million from his relatives. Three policemen arrested for extorting LASU student of N153,000 in Ogun Three policemen, who allegedly extorted the sum of N153,000 from a student of the Lagos State University, Hezekiah Oluwaponmile, at gunpoint have been arrested. Our correspondent gathered that the cops were attached to the Owode-Egba Police Station, Siun, Ogun State. The policemen allegedly accosted the victim while he was on his way to Abeokuta from Ibadan and demanded N1m from him. The incident happened on Saturday, April 24, 2021, on the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway. The victim alleged that the policemen, who were on stop-and-search duty on the expressway stopped his vehicle and ordered him to alight. In what will come across as a really heartbreaking development, a man was stabbed to death at his father-in-law’s burial party. When Ahmed Salami set off for the burial of his father-in-law at Alebiosu Street, Mile 12 area of Lagos State, little did he know that his own death was near.
