I killed my mother, slept with her corpse for money ritual – Suspect An 18-year-old man, Samuel Akpobome, who was arrested by the police in Edo State for allegedly killing his mother for money rituals, has explained how he committed the act. Akpobome told PUNCH Metro on Wednesday that he strangled the victim, Christiana Ighoyivwi, while she was asleep in her residence on Market Road, Ologbo, Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area of the state. The teenager, who was paraded by the Commissioner of Police, Mr Johnson Kokumo, along with over 80 other suspects arrested for various offences, stated that he later had sexual intercourse with his mother’s corpse. Woman kills husband, 3 kids, self in Makurdi A young woman, on Friday night, killed her husband, three children and herself in Makurdi, the Benue State capital. The woman, identified as Rachel, was said to have killed her husband, Nicholas Adestav, and slaughtered their three children, Ngwuavese, Senater and Joshua after which she was said to have stabbed herself to death. According to neighbours, trouble started between the young couple who both were staff of the Makurdi Local Government at about 8:00p.m. on Friday when suddenly they heard a sound of someone breaking the windscreen of a car within the compound.
